In this episode of The Rebel In Me, I share the final chapter of my faith deconstruction journey—how exploring the history of Christianity shattered the last remnants of belief I held onto. As my questions grew, I couldn’t ignore the disconnect between what I was learning and what I’d been taught. The deeper I delved, the more it stopped making sense, pushing me to embrace a new path and a new life. Tune in for an honest look at how my accidental rebellion, spiritual awakening, and search for truth ultimately changed everything.

In this eye-opening episode, I share my unfiltered journey from being a "good Christian girl" to questioning the beliefs and conditioning that shaped my identity. Through candid reflections from my therapy sessions, journal entries, and realizations about deep conditioning (including a shocker about brainwashing), I peel back layers of my faith, relationships, and personal growth. Hear how my therapist’s bold suggestion of a visit to a sex shop and the insights on "good girl" conditioning started my path to redefining love, autonomy, and spirituality. This episode is for anyone on a deconstruction journey or curious about the impact of faith, therapy, and self-discovery.

I dive into my spiritual journey of balancing life as a 'cool Christian,' embodying the ideal mix of faith and modern life—but without crossing certain lines. I share how my travels, church experiences, and relationships led me to question not only God’s character but also the rules and guidelines I’d been following for acceptance and approval. My relationship with a non-Christian boyfriend became more than just a test of faith; it was an invitation to take the wheel and rethink what I truly wanted from my beliefs and my life. Tune in to explore a path of spiritual reevaluation, self-discovery, and finding freedom outside the lines.Becoming You- Religion Recovery: https://jessicamoorecoaching.com/

In this episode, I reflect on my experience growing up in Utah as a non-Mormon surrounded by the dominant Mormon culture. As a young girl, I often wondered why my family was the odd one out, and I carried feelings of pride and prejudice, believing I knew better and thinking Mormons were in a cult. But over time, my perspective has evolved. Now, I see how much I have in common with those I once judged, realizing that I, too, grew up within the confines of church teachings. Today, I no longer say Mormons are wrong. Instead, I hope they—and all of us—know that we have the freedom to question, choose, and discover what truly resonates with our beliefs.
